Kimia is a public health professional and holistic health advocate with a background in biology, mental health, and clinical medicine. Throughout her education and career she repeatedly came across the same void in patient care, and how we approach ‘healing’. Patients were not seen as more than a group of physical symptoms, and their mental and spiritual needs were not addressed nearly enough, often resulting in their treatments not being effective. It all ‘clicked’ and came together when Kimia started practicing yoga regularly, and was able to see clearly where the void lay. Everytime she got on her mat she felt years of tension and trauma leaving her body, and her mind getting stronger. Witnessing these powerful transformation in her life, she decided to complete her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training and share the practice that changed her life with others in their journey to healing, health, and empowerment. Kimia is trained in the style of Baptiste Power Vinyasa. In addition to hot power flow, she is trained and passionate about restorative practices such as yin + nidra, and greatly enjoys incorporating meditation in her daily life as well as teaching.
